Absorption dryer or diskant is a type of air dryer that uses an absorbent or desiccant to remove moisture from the air. Moisture absorbent materials are used inside the dryer towers and they are available in different capacities according to the flow rate and dew point pressure required by the consumer. Absorption dryers are usually used in industrial and commercial applications where a low dew point is required.Its different types include heater absorption dryers, heatless absorption dryers, blower absorption dryers and vacuum absorption dryers, and their absorbent materials are mainly molecular sieve and active alumina.
